REGISTER TODAY FOR THE SBAG 2008 BOWEL & BLADDER WORKSHOP
A one-day workshop on issues of bowel and bladder management and techniques will be offered by SBAG on Saturday, March 22, 2008.
The SBAG 2008 Bowel & Bladder Workshop is open to parents of children with spina bifida and school nurses from all grades. The workshop is open to residents of Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee.
The workshop will be held in the Student Center Theatre and Ballrooms at GA Tech University in Atlanta.
Dr. Andrew J. Kirsch, a urologist for the Spina Bifida Clinic held at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite Hospital, will serve as Medical Director for the workshop; Jean P. Brown of Shriners Hospital in Greenville, SC will serve as Nurse Coordinator.
The workshop will feature talks by urologists in the morning sessions. During the afternoon, nurses specialized in the care of children with spina bifida will offer tips and techniques, as well as hands-on instruction.
Cost of the workshop for parents is $50 per person or $75 for both parents; cost for school nurses is $75. Registration includes a continental breakfast and boxed lunch.
Workshop brochures are being mailed soon. Upon registration, attendees will be sent registration confirmations, maps and directions to the facilities at GA Tech and a workshop program.
